About

Hello. Stian, 34 years old. Based in Trondheim and very much a product of Trøndelag — a region that rarely disappoints when it comes to (good and bad) weather. When I’m not watching the sky, I’m a dad, and I split my working life between the healthcare sector and the cultural industry, which keeps things interesting.

My background is in journalism, with a fair amount of experience in marketing, SEO, and photography thrown in along the way. That mix has shaped how I approach weather communication — less about raw data, more about telling the story behind it in a way that actually sticks.

I’ve worked with Norwegian and international media, produced graphic maps and visual presentations used by various outlets, and contributed to some of Europe’s leading severe weather communities, including Severe Weather Scandinavia and a local community – Trønderværet. I’ve also helped coordinate relief efforts during major weather disasters — including Hurricane Sandy in 2012.

If you want to get in touch about a collaboration, a media project, or just to talk about the latest storm, feel free to reach out.
